Dr. Hootan Zandifar
Dr. Hootan Zandifar is board-certified in Otolaryngology and fellowship-trained in Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Zandifar is the director of the Skin Center at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute based at Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers.
Dr. Zandifar attended University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) for his undergraduate degree and obtained his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he was elected as the class president. He completed his postgraduate training at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. It was there that he developed a keen interest in plastic surgery of the head and neck. He then completed his prestigious American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship in Carmel, Indiana under the tutelage of Dr. William H. Beeson, a world-renowned Master Plastic Surgeon.
He was also an adjunct faculty for the department of Dermatology at Indiana University where he taught Dermatology residents about skin defect reconstruction. While there, he ran a skin defect reconstruction clinic at the VA medical center and he won a teaching award for his outstanding service and mentorship.
As a fellowship trained Facial Plastics and Reconstructive surgeon, he specializes in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgeries of the face and neck. Dr. Zandifar is a member of several professional organizations, has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific data in various meetings both nationally and internationally. He has had multiple faculty appointments and has won numerous teaching awards for his continued dedication to furthering the education of students and residents.
