About Dr. Ryan Osborne

Ryan F. Osborne, M.D. is the Director of Head and Neck Surgery at OHNI and is an internationally renowned expert in head and neck oncology. He has developed a special interest for the treatment of parotid gland tumors and focuses on the use of minimally-invasive techniques in the care of patients needing parotid surgery.

On Friday, May 2 2014, the Osborne Head and Neck Institute was honored to have one of our physicians recognized by the students of the Beverly Hills Medical Science Academy. The 2^nd annual Medical Science Academy Awards was held in the KL Peters Auditorium at Beverly Hills High School. Honorees were recognized for their participation and support of the Medical Science Academy (MSA) program. The MSA is a 3-year program that seeks to expose Beverly Hills High School students to careers in the medical, science, and healthcare fields.

Dr. Mantle was an invited guest speaker this past winter for the 10^th and 11^th grade students. She discussed ENT anatomy and discussed cases demonstrating how the disease processes they had studied present in the clinical setting.

At the awards ceremony, Gentille Javidzad, an MSA student and graduate of the Osborne Head and Neck Student Mentorship program, introduced Dr. Mantle.

She gratefully accepted the honor, and encouraged students to pursue their dream of a career in the medical fields. As mentioned by Gentille, the OHNI Student Mentorship program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the clinical practice of otolaryngology. Through the Student Mentorship Program, students shadow physicians in the office and begin the process of medical writing, enabling them to be published in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Mantle has thoroughly enjoyed her experience mentoring students through this program, watching them develop in their desire to be medical health practitioners.
